Sunday 22nd of November 2009 at 20.15 CET the four of us went to a concert of Ilse de Lange. She is a Dutch superstar, who could
be the girl next door with a very sharp edge. She started of as a country-type singer, but now dhe is an allround singer. One of
my favourite songs is: I still cry. Or check out
this song by her: A world of hurt.
The concert was held in the 'Red Box' or Nieuw Vredenburg in Utrecht. It is quite interesting to see this building compared to the
old building which is currently undergoing renovations. The two buildings can't be compared, it is an easy victory for the old
buidling. The concerthall allows about 1000 people to enter and I think more people were visiting this concert by Ilse.
This wonderfull singer is a very small and fragile woman, when you meet her, but the power she's got in her voice is amazing.
She can easily perform rough R&R songs as well as delicate balads. She knows how to make the big hall cosy and snug, even though
there are about 1000 people in the hall. The concert was amazing.
